Radiant Care is Accredited

CARF Canada gold seal for print

Radiant Care’s Long-Term Care homes are accredited by CARF.

On September 23 and 24, 2024 surveyors from CARF visited our homes to complete their review. During their visit, they toured both of our long-term care homes, reviewed policies, and spoke with residents, families, and staff. They were very pleased with what they saw and heard.

The result of this survey was CARF accreditation for both homes for 3 years!

This is the first accreditation that the accrediting body, CARF, has awarded to Radiant Care. This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has gone through a rigorous peer-review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.

Radiant Care’s accreditation survey report identified no recommendations, an accomplishment achieved by only 3% of CARF organizations! We are extremely proud to be recognized as homes with a high level of commitment to person-centred care, reflected in our mission to serve seniors with excellence, love, and dignity.

We encourage you to review our accreditation survey report and benchmark data, (how we compare to other CARF accredited organizations), linked below.

We are very thankful to all staff, volunteers, residents, and families who participate in and contribute to our homes.

While achieving accreditation is a major accomplishment, it is yet another milestone in our ongoing commitment to serve seniors with excellence, love, and dignity. We will continue to strive for quality improvement as we provide person-centred care to our seniors.

CARF is an independent, non-profit accreditor of health and human services whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of persons served. For more information about the accreditation process, please visit the CARF website at www.carf.org.

Please contact Fola Akano, Senior Administrator Long-Term Care, if you have any questions about Radiant Care’s accreditation.

ACCREDITATION SURVEY REPORT    BENCHMARK DATA

Please note: Both our Radiant Care Pleasant Manor and Radiant Care Tabor Manor long-term care homes were surveyed and both have achieved accreditation. You may notice that the primary name listed on the accreditation report is “Mennonite Brethren Senior Citizens Home O/A Radiant Care Tabor Manor.” Because CARF completed only one survey for both locations, they only indicate one primary name on the report, but the entire report applies to both of our homes, as evidenced throughout the narrative of the report.
