Christmas Festivities December 30, 2022

Our residents & tenants enjoyed the Christmas season this year, despite the ongoing pandemic

In spite of the ongoing pandemic, our staff worked very hard to make the Christmas season special for our residents and tenants.

Decorating and crafts started in late November and continued right up until Christmas Day! Our residents painted the windows, created snowflakes, trimmed trees, made Christmas cards, crafted centrepieces and ornaments, baked gingerbread and decorated cookies. Christmas carols were sung and Christmas cookies were enjoyed. Residents sent Christmas cards to their families. Long-term care residents received Christmas dinner in our dining rooms and our apartment/wellness suite tenants received individually-packaged Christmas dinners delivered to their door by our Christmas elves!  Our Arborview tenants took a bus trip to Niagara Falls to enjoy the Winter Festival of Lights display. Thank you to the Radiant Care Foundation for making this festive event possible!

Thank you to our tenants, staff, and local entertainers for the musical productions, sing-alongs and Chapel services; they were much enjoyed and appreciated by everyone involved.

Thank you to NOTL Horticultural Society for providing a poinsettia for each of our Pleasant Manor residents, to Sunshine Express Garden Centre for providing a poinsettia for each of our tenants at both sites, to New Hope Church for the flowers for our Tabor Manor tenants, and to both the Community Group of NOTL 4 U and Stockings of Love – Seniors Alone at Christmas for gifting our Pleasant Manor and Tabor Manor residents with stockings to open on Christmas morning. Our Wellness Suite tenants at Tabor Manor were also pleasantly surprised to receive wonderful gift bags on Christmas Day.

We are so thankful for the thoughtfulness and generosity of all those who donated items or their time to make this Christmas special! These gifts, as well as the many cards and well wishes, brought our residents and tenants joy and hope this Christmas season.
