Our Tabor Manor wellness suite tenants were delighted to receive Valentine’s Day care packages this week!

Angelica Gay, an Usborne Books Consultant, worked with several other consultants to do a “book-raiser” to help show some love to the seniors in our area. Angela shares,

“This year has been extremely hard on a lot of people. Between loss, isolation and lockdowns seniors have been hit the hardest in this season. I wanted to do something to help during this Pandemic, especially since they are probably missing their friends and family. We wanted to gift them something special to remind them that they are seen and loved during this hard season.”

This led to their Sponsor-a-Senior fundraiser, where for $12 someone could sponsor a senior who would receive a Valentine’s Day care package with a handwritten valentine’s day message and an adult colouring book and pencil crayons or a magic painting book and brush. People were very generous and our Tabor Manor wellness suite tenants were grateful to be recipients of these care packages. When these beautiful gifts were handed out, our tenants’ faces were filled with surprise and appreciation! They were so happy to receive a special gift. It was wonderful to watch them open and read the cards and slowly look through the beautiful books. They loved them! Thank you Angelica and team!
