Caring and connecting pen pal initiative

A picture is worth a thousand words, but just look at these beautiful pictures & smiles that words can make!

We are participating in the Caring & Connecting Pen Pal Initiative (read more here: https://reallyliving.ca/caring) This initiative works to mitigate the isolation that the elderly are experiencing during this unprecedented time, all while following physical distancing protocol.

The pen pals will compose a letter on their laptops. This letter will then be sent to the email of the organizers, and then the cluster of letters are redirected to the specific homes. They are then printed and delivered to the residents & tenants alleviating issues of outside objects being introduced into the homes! Check out this article in Niagara This Week for additional information:
https://www.niagarathisweek.com/news-story/9935348-fort-erie-woman-hopes-letters-will-bring-hope-to-seniors/

All you have to do as a Pen Pal is:

1. Compose the letter on your computer. You can even draw, or write poetry! Be creative!
2. Email it to: caringandconnectinginitiative@gmail.com

They will compile the emails and send them to us where the letters will be printed by the in-home staff and delivered to our seniors.

Smiles will be created, on both ends!
