Radiant Care recently hosted Coffee Breaks to raise funds for the Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region.
The Alzheimer Society has been providing support, resources and education for over 38 years to persons living with dementia, their care partners, formal caregivers and the Niagara public at large. Niagara Region has one of the largest senior populations per capita in Canada with over 11,099 people experiencing some form of dementia.
On May 24, participants braved the chilly weather to support the Tabor Manor Coffee Break and despite the weather, there was a great turnout. They walked to show their support, and then enjoyed delicious baked goods and a warm cup of coffee! On May 31, participants at the Pleasant Manor Coffee Break fared better with the weather and enjoyed the beautiful sun while they walked, followed by timbits and coffee courtesy of Tim Hortons! A total of $3,486.15 was raised through these events!
A special thank you to everyone who participated in and donated to this worthy cause! Your generosity is what gives the Alzheimer Society the resources and support they need to make a difference.
