Living Classroom – Fall 2025

In collaboration with Niagara College, Radiant Care is offering on-site PSW training at Pleasant Manor this Fall, through our Living Classroom. PSW students will receive classroom and hands-on learning experiences in our on-site lab, as well as real-world experience through placements in our long-term care home. Successful students will graduate with a PSW Certificate from Niagara College and be guaranteed a full-time PSW position in our new Pleasant Manor long-term care home upon successful completion.

The Radiant Care Foundation is generously offering $1,500 bursaries to assist successful applicants: $500 will be issued upon acceptance to the program, with the remaining $1,000 issued upon completion of probation period (600 hours or 8 months in a full-time position).

Tuition Cost:

$5,740 per student
+ purchase of program resources outside those covered by program fees

Eligibility Criteria:

  • 18+ years of age
  • Canadian citizen/permanent resident
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent including the following required course(s):
    • English – any Grade 12 (C) or (U), or equivalent
    • Mathematics – any Grade 11 (C), (U), or (M), or equivalent
    • Biology – Grade 11 (C) or (U) or Grade 12 (U)
  • All students who participate in clinical placements are, without exception, required to meet the expectations mandated by the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021. The following non-academic requirements must be met and remain current for the duration of the program:
  • Access to a vehicle (Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the program. Public transportation is not available in Virgil)
  • Demonstrated commitment to Christian service or ministry
  • Strong commitment to serving others within a Christian context
  • Commitment to accept a full-time position as a PSW in Pleasant Manor’s new long-term care home

  • Transcripts (e.g., OSSD)
  • Bursary Application Form
    • Letter(s) of recommendation (pastor, youth leader, volunteer coordinator, community leader, etc.)
    • Personal statement outlining aspirations and commitment to Radiant Care’s core values and mission to serve seniors with excellence, love, and dignity
    • Personal faith testimony
