Grand Opening Ceremony June 5, 2026

Radiant Care recently hosted the grand opening ceremony for our new Pleasant Manor Long-Term Care!

RC 2026 0128

We were thrilled to welcome residents, families, tenants, staff and distinguished guests to the recent grand opening of our new Pleasant Manor’s long-term care home!

Planning for the redevelopment of the new long-term care home began 28 years ago, and bringing a project of this scale to completion is never the work of one person – it belongs to a vast, dedicated community. We are profoundly thankful for the contributions of countless individuals – the early dreamers, the planners, our supportive government officials, the contractors who brought this entire structure to life, our phenomenal staff, and our Board for their incredible leadership in pushing our home and organization to new heights.

The new building is organized into five resident home areas, creating a more intimate and familiar environment for our residents. Each home area accommodates up to 32 residents and includes its own dining and activity spaces, lounges, and bedrooms. The home also features a beauty parlour, chapel, spiritual and recreational programming, a tuck shop, and outdoor courtyards.

“The opening of Radiant Care Pleasant Manor marks a major milestone in our government’s plan to protect residents and increase access to world-class health care across the province. Now that construction is complete, 160 residents have a safe and modern place to call home” said Hon. Natalia Kusendova-Bashta, Minister of Long-Term Care.

“Seniors across our province and in Niagara deserve to receive quality care with dignity and respect,” said Oosterhoff. “The addition of 160 modern beds at Pleasant Manor in Virgil will help ensure seniors across our region have a safe and modern space to call home in a culturally appropriate and faith-based context.”

“Today’s opening of Radiant Care Pleasant Manor is an important milestone for Niagara-on-the-Lake and for the families in our community who need access to long-term care close to home,” said Niagara-on-the-Lake Lord Mayor Gary Zalepa.
